Hailing from the depths of commuter wasteland in central Essex and breaking out of the wave that kick-started the Chelmsford underground club scene late 2007, Crossbones made his name co-running the county town’s first ever underground electro/bass club, This.Is.Sick.

Following the success of this, sets with Drums of Death, Niyi, Foamo, Tomb Crew, L-VIS 1990 and many others have seen his skills as a DJ go from strength to strength.

A life-long fascination with dance music of all kinds combined with a fiendish dedication to laptop production, undoubtedly make Crossbones one to watch in 2010.

Stapleford '100% Vinyl Cooked in Cubase Dubstep Megamix'

Taken from the highly exclusive Strong Look x Poda Poda 'Poda! Step!' CD

The first mix up is from Stapleford (aka Quailman)

Featuring a selection of heavy current dubstep Stapleford also gets wild on the outro showcasing his long held turntable abilities.

His past activity has included the UK results party 09 at Fabric, London with Rusko and Benga, Toys ‘R’ Us at the Fridge in Brixton with the Mystery Jets and Niyi, Square Roots at Audio in Brighton with The Bug and Flow Dan, Reverb at the UEA in Norwich with DJ Food as well as many local nights in Essex with artists including Rusko, Drop the Lime, King Cannibal and Shir Khan!

A recent successful debut guest slot on “Rough Tempo” radio has secured him his own weekly slot on the station allowing his music to reach even further afield.

Expect one of the heaviest Dubstep sets you will have ever heard with double drops, turntablism and hints of other genres blended in.

Stapleford plays Barhouse, Chelmsford this Saturday October 24th alongside Commix (Metalheadz/Hospital) and will also on Saturday November 7th be on the wheels of steel with Strong Look and Crossbones at New Hero Brighton's incredible It Is Still.... 1985 playing a vintage selection of 80s Hip-Hop and Electro Vinyl.

\\\\\ LE CORPS MINCE DE FRANCOISE (KITSUNE) /////
Continuing our tradition of bringing you great acts first - we have some very special guests on the night - all the way from Helsinki, Finland the new stars of the soon to be released KITSUNE MAISON 8 compilation - LE CORPS MINCE DE FRANCOISE will be PERFORMING LIVE! This trio of girls (two sisters and a friend!) are currently working on a new album with Berlin production house New Judas (who were responsible for Annie’s last album) + M.I.A. & Major Lazer maestros DIPLO & SWITCH!

The Guardian labelled their first single back in February - “like a Hanna Barbera cartoon of MIA and Yo! Majesty mud-wrestling” and named their other work as having “all the mischievous exuberance missing from that last CSS album”. As if that wasn’t praise enough The Guardian has compared them to New Young Pony Club, Peaches, & Fan Death before noting that LCMDF “could be the one – the first – hipster electro-girl-group to break through“. With killer reviews also featured in/on NME, Dazed & Confused, Artrocker, Big Stereo & more. Don’t miss this exclusive Brighton show ahead of the new release through KITSUNE ‘Something Golden’, which you can hear (along with other tracks & videos on their Myspace here: http://www.myspace.com/lecorpsmincedefrancoise

Plus we’ll be showcasing some of the nights that will define the future of New Hero of with DJ sets from the legendary 'SOMEWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE' which is returning to every Friday at New Hero from November 13th (Come to this event and receive FREE ENTRY to that launch party). 'Somewhere In The Universe' is the night that has defined new indie electro dance floor music in Brighton by being home to the city’s most enthusiastic resident DJs and the night that brought the likes of Friendly Fires, Busy P (Ed Banger), MSTRKRFT, Little Boots, La Roux and many more for their first appearances in the city. Also representing ‘Somewhere In The Universe’s’ new spin off night 'Horse Power' which began at Concorde this month with Chew Lips, The Golden Filter, Designer Drugs, and American Apparel. Plus a sample of New Hero’s most notorious party DJ’s from 'It is still 1985', the Saturday night juggernaut that has re-defined the power ballad, electro pop era to whole new generation of Brighton’s cool club goers, along with the 'Strong Look' DJ’s, stalwart New Hero collaborators on a whole host of New Hero’s most innovative club nights over the last 12 months.
